Healthy Skin at Any Age!

Let’s talk “skin” today. Did you know that your skin is the largest body organ? It also is the only exterior protection you have from the environment.

Good skincare can go a long way these days. The way your skin looks and feels can make a big difference in the way you feel about yourself, and how you feel overall. But when you can’t go out to get a facial, how can you care for your skin at home? Let’s discuss!

Acne Prone Skin

You might be feeling more stress right now in life, which in turn is causing your hormones to get a little out of balance. The hormones released in your body by stress can increase your acne if you already have it or make you prone to acne even if you rarely experienced it previously.

Acne can be annoying, unpleasant, and downright painful. If you are experiencing an increase in blemishes right now, consider using a topical treatment like Mario Badescu Anti-Acne Serum.

Easy Skin Cleaning

In addition, make sure you are cleansing your face each day. I know that after a long day, it’s enticing to just climb into bed with your makeup still on, but this is not good for your delicate facial skin.

At the very least, swipe a toner-filled cotton pad over your face to get rid of makeup and excess oil and dirt. Thayers Alcohol-Free Rose Petal Witch Hazel Facial Toner with Aloe Vera Formula feels light and soothing without drying out your skin.

You can get bonus points if you wash your face first, and then use the toner after!

Skin Nourishment

If you’re looking for something to refresh, hydrate, and replenish your skin, try one of these:

To protect your skin while getting an easy, flawless finish, try a tinted moisturizer with SPF. The Babies After 35 community recommends this one: La Roche-Posay Anthelios Tinted Mineral Ultra-Light Fluid Broad Spectrum SPF 50.

Dry Skin

Finally, let’s talk about dry skin! If you’ve been washing your hands more than previously, you are probably experiencing dry, cracked skin.

To repair the lipid barrier of your skin, you need to use a deeply moisturizing product like SVASTHYA BODY & MIND Essential Oil Heal All Balm. This balm is designed for dry cracked skin to speed up healing and relieve irritation. This would also make a great Mother’s Day gift (which is less than three weeks away 😉)!

So there you have it! If you can’t get a facial these days, at least you can give your skin a little TLC at home. Take care of your skin and yourself!
